I’m going to be getting the 32GB wifi, I was hoping that it was going to come out before the end of March as I’m off on holiday in early April and it would have been good to use on a 9hr flight!

U know, I’m all for it but I really want to get my hands on it first. In other words – I really really need to see that it actually IS more than just a big iPod touch.

I don’t read a lot (I do audiobooks) and can’t say I use iWork either.. and believe me: there are billions of people out there JUST LIKE ME. So… I really wanna see what it has to offer to people like myself, who could care less for iBook Store or the amazing new iWork. If it really offers a NEW EXPERIENCE – I’ll go for it.

Holland is not on the list right now……..thanks Steve FOR NOTHING!!!

    4. iFoneFan says:

The 3G version is prepay not contract so I don’t see a reason not to get it other than the initial cost. But at least this way you have the option to activate the 3G if u want later

    5. 305raye says:

Apple is something else I cant believe they pushed the day back :( well thanks 4 the video I might not get it anymore after dat

    6. AdamKaoru says:

I don’t think iSight will go HD for a long time, but I do thing future iSight cameras will adopt Apple’s “iFrame” standard, if you heard about that.. It’s a 16:9 video format Apple’s just patented and it’s not HD but it’s higher than Standard Def, and it uses really good compression.

    7. theunits3 says:

Thing is, im probably so fussy cause ive been waiting for ages for one of these lol. and now that they’re about to get released, im drooling over the fact that US peeps will get it first lol.

2nd gen better have an HD isight camera lol… or they may just keep that to revision 3 lolll

    8. AdamKaoru says:

I guess thats true. Oh well. I’m used to getting stiffed here in Canada so meh. Maybe I just don’t care because I don’t want an iPad.

I think you have your iPods confused, I had a first-gen iPod nano and it had a colour screen >_>… I think you’re talking about iPod Mini?

And iPod Mini is different, it wasnt a new premise or a flagship product. Look at the first gen iPhone compared to iPhone 3G. Big changes!

I think second-gen iPad will at least have an iSight camera… @_@

Sir, I suggest you watch the keynote again. I’m looking at the keynote slide right now as I type and it says “60 days, worldwide availability of WiFi models”. YES, they did not promised any SPECIFIC date – HOWEVER, these did specify a time frame… which they’re not going to meet hence the delay.

In regards to revisions/generations, the iPod Nano got a colour screen added to its 3rd revision. Its not always bad.

    10. AdamKaoru says:

Again, they never promised any date to international customers. There were rumours even before the announcement that it would be US-only at first, just like the iPhone was.

there’s a bigger difference between gen1 and gen 2 than there is between 2 and 3.. we’ve seen this with the iPhone and it’s almost always the same with Apple products.

    11. theunits3 says:

If they wanted it to be closer to the iPhone OS preview – they would of not given the “within 60 days, end of march” time frame. Furthermore, theres numerous reports that there has been issues with production and the software side to it. Guess it makes sense. Again, its not THAT big of an issue for US customers as its literally 4-5 days ‘late’ but for the rest, its a shame.

Gen 2 sucks, wait for gen 3. lol. Ofcourse gen 2 is going to be better and the consequent revisions will too.

    12. AdamKaoru says:

I knew it was greater than 60, but its less than a week, so really, BFD. Maybe they want it to be closer to their iPhone OS preview event? and really 6 days doesn’t constitute a “delay” when they really didn’t give any concrete information. If they wanted to announce a precise date they would’ve said the date, not the amount of days.

And believe me I’m in Canada and I feel your pain but they didnt promise us anything. So it’s technically not really a delay :S

Plus, iPad sucks. Wait for Gen 2

    13. bywal3c says:

Yeah it sucks cause us in the UK always have longer to wait. I’m going for the 16GB WiFi as well because I will only be using it in a house when I need the internet. There will be a method to hook up your iPhone and tether the 3G probably :p

    14. MastrEcko says:

I’m still undecided about the iPad, which is quite unusual for me when it comes to Apple products. I might just wait to see what everyone thinks. Also holding my fingers crossed that the Microsoft Courier brings something to the table.

    15. jamaic1aboy2 says:

Yes i think 16gb is about right for ipad1st gen.

    16. theunits3 says:

Planet earth my friend. 31 (March) + 28 (Feb) + 4 (Jan) + 3 (April) equals 66 days AND? thats just for the US. UK customers for are still clueless. p.s. 66 > 60

    17. theunits3 says:

@drbuk – yes, your correct. It was a typo :/.

    18. DRBUK says:

i thought it was originally 60 days for wifi and 90 days for 3g ?

    19. AdamKaoru says:

in what universe have they gone over 60 days? you are living in the multiverse apparently. LOL jk..

But look, there were only 28 days in february, the iPad was announced January 27th, it will be released on March 3rd.

They didn’t give specific information as a definite in the announcement of the iPad either. So really they havent delayed anything… >_>

    20. theunits3 says:

yeah thats what im talking about – they said 60 days (including international)… which they’ve gone over. :D

    21. AdamKaoru says:

No, they said 60 days for WiFi model, 90 days for 3G model.

So there isn’t a delay. >_> Look it up! I promise you I’m right.

    22. theunits3 says:

They said shipping in 30 days for the WiFi model internationally. Outwith this time period, people refer this scenario to ‘delay’. The 3G model isn’t delayed (yet), its still scheduled within the 60 day period. Yeah its not a BIG deal for US customers but for Europeans, its frustrating (or for me anyway lol)

    23. AdamKaoru says:

its not really DELAYED.. they said about 60 days and April 3rd is like, 62 days after the announcement :s Not a big deal.

And the international release was never announced so that wasn’t technically delayed either.

    24. sim3218 says:

Are y actually getting 1? Cause its just like a bigger version to a iphone/ipod touch lol

    25. Asherthefunnyguy says:

      Thanks :)
